When it comes to your baby, natural is always best, especially given teethers go directly in babies’ mouths and can be gnawed on for some time. It’s best to choose one that’s made from natural woods and fabrics such as cotton or linen. Oeko-Tex certified dyes are best as they’re non-toxic and safe for your baby and the environment. Our beautiful Bunny Teethers are made from 100% Linen/Cotton, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certified dyes and natural beech hardwood. The fabric is removable and washable. Bunny Teethers meet and exceed mandatory safety toy standards ISO 8124-1:2018

Care

Choosing a sustainable option is a great first step, however to ensure your baby’s health it’s important to clean their teethers after each use. This helps reduce the risk of infection, the build up of grime and helps you keep an eye on the teether’s condition (as they should be discarded once they show any wear and tear). Wooden teethers should be wiped down with a warm, damp cloth after use (avoid submerging in water as this can damage the wood). Once clean, leave them to dry in a warm place. Always ensure the wood is completely dry before use. The fabric components should be removed and washed in a washing machine on a cold, delicate cycle. Then hung out to dry completely. Please ensure the bunny ears are tightly fastened and secured before each use.

The Cake Maternity Story

Cake was born out of our founder, Tracey Montford’s own personal struggle during her pregnancy journey. In her search for comfortable, functional and stylish maternity and nursing wear, it appeared hitting all three was the trifecta that didn’t exist. Suddenly in this new role, she was being forced into this one-size-fits-all mould of how a mother should look—and it wasn’t pretty. She wanted more and realised that if she felt this way, so must many other women across the world.

This became her driving force to create beautiful, high quality, functional and comfortable pieces inspired by her own experiences designed to support mamas on their breastfeeding journey. Bras that truly enhance the lives of women every day, allowing them to fully embrace motherhood & all that it brings to the table.

To this day, Tracey has that same passion and vision driving her, encouraging women to breastfeed for as long as possible in a supported & educated community.
