I think choosing a name for a new baby has to be one of the hardest things to do.
It is such a responsibility. Choosing the wrong name or combination of names may cause some issues for when the child is growing up.
I have browsed a few websites for inspiration and listened out for names when watching TV. Just when you think you have a winner, you mention it to your other half and he screws up his nose and says ‘really’…
Second time around I am not only getting disapproval from Keith, but also from Ethan, my 5 year old son- who has his own opions about what we should call the baby (very odd names I must say, like boo boo!) I think he forgets sometimes that we are naming a child and not a pet.
Another reason why I am finding it hard to choose a name is because I taught High School for 10 years, and taught hundreds of children. Many names remind me of particular children that I have taught, making it a challenge to find a unique name that has no associations with me.
Below is a list of a few websites I have been looking through. I have found them particularly useful as these sites state name, origin and meaning (which to me is important).
Some of the names that I am considering are Nate, Carter, Connor, Cole, Byron, Blake, Kody, Ashton, Hunter and Reid.
